View quoted message It is very different that's for sure, but if you're already going to be in a colour dress (blue) it would be the perfect time to use that design idea. Obviously if you were wearing white you probably wouldn't want your maids in white too, but it is becoming an emerging trend. (Just imagine the bride in a colour dress, I think it would make you pop in a good way)

This may be an out-there idea, but what if you had your bridesmaids in white (or cream/ivory etc)? (Kind of reversing the traditional colours since you're going to be in blue instead of white) and you'll really stand out next to all your maids in white.

And that’s so funny because I totally said to my mum when I bought the dress “what about a super pale yellow for bridesmaids”! Blue and purple was my original colour scheme too - you have good taste

Those two colours look great together!!! I think aqua would not let your dress stand out enough and instead your bridemaids will. I also like "boring" colours 😆. I'd say go for this for sure!!

I love the colour of your dress! It looks so whimsical and elegant.

And I do like the slate colour next to it, it's actually funny because these are basically the colours of our bedroom walls so I may be a bit biased haha! But if you think this kind of colour is "boring" but want to stay in the blue-ish family then maybe try a mint colour? I also love blue and purple together, and it's completely left field but your blue dress next to pale yellow bridesmaids would look amazing.

No idea what aqua is, but the one you have in the photo looks nice. Conservative colours may be boring but they work because it won't clash in almost any setting.
