Bridal dress problem

Jenn, on January 19, 2019 at 20:23 Posted in Wedding fashion 0 17
So I have a major problem. I purchased my dress at the beginning of the month. My wedding is in August. I just found out I’m a month pregnant and the dress I bought will not fit me. Will the store be able to cancel the dress? Or can the alternate to my size? Or can I get back my money.

Omg! So you lost your money??

You could try selling it maybe, but that really sucks about the dress.

I would call and see if they can change the style or size of the dress. If they can’t maybe they will give you a store credit?

    1. Congrats on your little blessing!!

    2. Don't worry! Don't stress! Like the others say, call & ask, look at the contract, maybe sell it & buy again, but seeing as it's a zipper - what are the chances of making it into corset instead? Maybe they could look into doing that if it's not too elaborate or maybe there will still be time to add material to it!

You're welcome! What does your current dress look like? Do you think there's any way to make it fit your bump?

Yes I’m going to call the store on Monday and der what they say because I will be 8 months pregnant so I will double check with them, then probably sell it.

I agree with Bianca and Leah, call the dress shop and explain your situation - they might be able to cancel your dress or transfer your deposit.

If you were given a contract when you ordered, I'd check that out too as it might say you can't return or exchange the dress in that case, I would resell it like Leah said.

If you can’t return your dress try putting it up for resell ASAP so you can recoup some of the money.

I’d call the store that you ordered your dress from and explain the situation to them. They may or may not be able to transfer the deposit to another dress that will fit your bump for your wedding.

    Congratulatuons and good luck!
