Breaking in shoes?

Shannon, on May 26, 2017 at 01:52 Posted in Wedding fashion 0 7
Hello lovely brides! I want to break in my shoes and have them nice and comfy for the big day, but I don't really want to blister my feet doing it! Has anybody tried shoe stretchers and do they help?

Balled up socks work well for flats I find. P.S. Adorable shoes! Smiley smile

Thanks ladies! I'll try the body glide and the balled up socks. Thankfully they aren't heels! You brides are fantastic!

I second what Erin says! Im running a half marathon next week and Body glide is a SAVIOUR. Also, here's an article with tonnnns of hacks for this: https://www.littlethings.com/hacks-for-comfortable-shoes/

Also, if you have issues with your feet hurting when wearing heels, taping your second to last toe and middle toe together LEGIT works. (Obviously you can only do this if your shoes are closed-toe). I read it somewhere and randomly decided to try it and was sooo surprised when this actually allowed me to wear my heels 3+ hours longer than usual standing constantly at a party.

There is a product that runners use to prevent blisters called Body Glide. They have a specific one for feet and can be purchased at any sports store (Running Room, Sport Chek etc) or online. I use it and it definitely helps with the rubbing from shoes.

I haven't used shoe stretchers but I usually put balled up socks in the toes and the heel to stretch it. That always helps so I imagine it does the same thing.
