I like the blues i think they will look really nice

My bridesmaids have dresses from David’s. A Vera wang dress in “wine” I know it’s closer to burgundy but it’s beautiful

My maids dresses above are in the David’s Bridal spa colour.


I think go with whatever colour you truly want. It’s not a big deal if you have the same colour or shade as someone else

I had a bridesmaid dress from David’s bridal (for a wedding I was previously in) in the colour Amethyst. The colour was very dark purple, and not flattering.

I’m lucky mine is not until next year so it’s not a rush to order. But I also want to be able to have them comfortable and within price range. I know DB can be expensive!

I'm a sucker for the blue shades, so I'm a bit biased. I think navy or dusty blue would be gorgeous and flattering, and you could still put burgundy flowers with it to tie in the color you love.


I've never shopped at David's Bridal, there aren't any in the maritimes that I know of. I've heard good things about their return policies so if you need to order a few styles to try on that's an option. At least with a physical store you can try on the styles if not the colors and get an idea of how comfortable your girls will be in them.
Azazie is another spot to check out online, and you can order swatches to see the colors in person before committing. I've heard girls on here mention other sites that allow you a "try on at home" experience with easy returns but I can't remember the name of the company.

I like whatever I know the girls will like and especially for my sister what will suit her. We didn’t get custom sizing and I’ll insert pictures below. Mostly they are just too long which is to be expected and around the waist needs some help too. But of course no dress ever fits perfect off the rack.



And I loved that you can get ties for the men in the same colour. It was just easy! Please feel free to ask any more questions! (And sorry for the low quality/strange pics. Didn’t think I would be showing anyone! Ahha. So thats me in my BM dress.) the dresses were great and it makes my MOH look like she has a smaller chest which works great! We were shocked at how well it covered her.

The only thing I feel is online shopping takes away from that experience of searching and trying on. Did you miss not having that experience? How did they know if they would suit that style?
I remember in my best friends wedding we went to 6 different shops and went to DB 4 different times to try to find it. ( first was colour change, second was new bridesmaid, 3rd was another new and 4th was Seeing everyone together to determine if suitable) I had only one of my BMs with me when I picked out my dress the rest was family.

I recommend looking at an online shop called Azazie. I got my BM dresses from their and they are AMAZING. They have an IG account and the colours you see In the pictures are true. They are beautiful, good quality, and many colour selections. I am a new fan of theirs and I recommend to everyone now. They blew my mind. They usually have a colour swatch available but due to Covid they don’t offer that right now. Just a piece of advice from fellow bride to be. (Also highly recommend dusty blue! So cute) burgundy is beautiful but very expected for fall. It’s fun to be a little different.

This is the plum colour I believe from DB. I fell in love with it in person. I wish it was one of my colours lol
