Hey all of your gorgeous people!

Did anyone have their engagement ring reflect their birthstone? When FH gave me the opportunity to choose my ring myself I wished I had a unique birthstone of my own to add in (alas I don't thanks to an April birthday and a diamond birthstone), so I want to know if any of you took the chance (or if your significant other did) to incorporate it into your ring!

Show off those birthstone rings ladies!

Do you know what kind of wedding band you're going to pair it with? It's so very unique!

His birthstone is garnet and mine is either opal or pink tourmaline.

I would have them set in a plain, somewhat narrow, white gold band, I think.

    He seems supportive.

    Definitely! Smiley smile

It's not one that would immediately come to mind for me either; I think I stumbled across it by accident when looking for rose jewelry and ended up liking it!

    Something like this:

    Birthstones and Engagement Rings 1

Mine will have his birthstone first and mine second because I put him first and he will have the opposite as he puts me first Smiley smile Of course since he doesn't have an engagement ring the birthstones on his wedding band will be bigger than mine as he doesn't plan on having any other jewels.

Same. I gravitate towards green in everything else in my life so I've always loved emeralds. Aquamarine are also gorgeous, same with topaz and opal. Strangely enough, I do have one other ring that I wear constantly - a claddagh - and the gem in it is also clear (I'm pretty sure it's not a diamond). Anyway, it's time for some colour!

Yes there is 29 diamond all excellent color and clarity and natural. it's a gorgeous ring imperfectly perfect. I love the light blue on the bottom and the darker blue on top with the , their is actually a tiny red streak going through the dark blue.

Would you consider doing it as earrings or just as a special anniversary ring? I never thought of that combo together but it sounds lovely!

Ugh April problems girl. I have (had since I lost it) the Pandora birth stone ring and it was boring. I'm still tempted to get other birthstone jewellery just so I can have some colour lol.

That's so sweet of him to get you something so sentimental and personal! Do you think you'll be wearing it on your wedding day or give it a break?

That's such a great idea for a family ring! What are your (you and FH) birthstones? Would you do those on a simple band or those plus diamonds? How does he feel about that idea of starting a family ring?

Your grandmothers ring sounds so lovely! I love the idea of having birthstone jewelery. I regret not getting FH's stone on a Pandora ring when they still had them (wouldn't matter now since I lost mine that I would have staked with it).

My engagement ring doesn't include my birthstone, though I do love the way aquamarine looks with rose gold.

I would have LOVED to do that, but I'm also born in April, so diamond it is... I remember growing up always being so jealous of all the others months because their gems are so much prettier!

Just a regular white diamond for me, but FH got me a ring on our first anniversary - rose gold band with our birthstones side by side (peridot and sapphire). I wear it all the time (so much so that most of my family assumed it was an engagement ring)

Although my engagement ring doesn't have our birthstones our wedding bands will Smiley laugh

I love the chance to add some colour so we will have peridot (my b-day is Aug. 9) and aquamarine (his b-day is March 18). Green and Blue Smiley smile

I had my heart set on a gemstone, although I am not a fan of my own which is ruby. I really wanted sapphire, emerald or amethyst. We went looking together and my FH chose a black sapphire ring. I couldn't be happier with the choice.

I was resistant to having a diamond engagement ring, but my fiance is colour blind, so I felt bad insisting on a more colourful stone.

We went to scope out wedding rings the other day, and I got an idea to use my wedding band as an opportunity to start a family ring, though. I haven't fully decided though.
