Best for bride in Etobicoke

Lorena, on March 6, 2020 at 13:25 Posted in Wedding fashion 0 10

Hello everyone!
I purchased my dress from Best for Bride in etobicoke and as my wedding date grows nearer I am starting to panic about my dress not being here yet. I was wondering if anyone has had any experiences they would like to share with me. Did your dress come on time?

I honestly had a great time there. After visiting other stores I felt like I would never find the right dress, and Theresa (My consultant at best for bride) changed that for me. She took the time to really hear what I wanted and helped me find a dress that would be flattering and within budget.
They have off-the-rack dresses for like $200. Even some cheaper ones that may have a wrong little detail (easily fixable). They also have a huge selection in the $500-$1000 range for brand new made-for-you dresses.
So I'd say they're budget friendly.
I'd also suggest from their website, get their promo deal ($300 in accessories) because I got my garter, head jewellery, and half my veil for free with that.

In general, what are everyone's opinion on this shop? I've just started looking but their website is outdated and difficult to navigate, which always makes me weary. Are they budget friendly?

I got mine from there. It’s currently there and waiting for alterations. I ordered a while ago though and my wedding is in August

I wouldn't totally panic yet, but I would definitely follow up. Some designers need a minimum of 8 months order time which can get a little stressful especially when you factor in your date and potential alterations.

I wouldn't panic until you need to. I would assume that this is probably the busy season for the summer wedding dresses coming in and needing fittings. When I booked to try dresses on in October it was crazy busy, I only got my appointment because of a cancellation, and those dresses would be arriving around this time give or take a few weeks.

I ordered it in November and they said it’d be here March 27 (20 more days until I can officially panic). That being said I’ve had experiences when the store gives you a date and the dress comes in much earlier. So I guess I’m just praying it’ll come on time and not any later.
Honestly I wish I had bought a sample dress. I’ve been wanting to have my dress since I left the store in November haha

I would definitely follow up with the store and ask them to give you a date when it will be here and see if they know what stage it is at. Wedding dress stores and suppliers are used to the time crunch so they are probably not going to worry the way you are. Let them know that you're feeling the pressure to get the dress on time with room for alterations. How long ago did you order it?

My dress was a sample so I didn't need to order it in, I've missed out on all the excitement and the stress of waiting for it to come in.

I haven't had that problem but it is getting late for a May wedding so if I were you I'd be harassing the store about when its ETA. If you can have a way of getting in touch the designer, you may even want to consider that to ask if they can tell you what stage it's at.
