Banff Brides - Accomodations...

Samantha, on June 11, 2019 at 11:06 Posted in Plan a wedding 0 3

Hi ladies, you guys were so awesome with all of your ideas for me when it came to ceremony and reception ideas in Banff. We have decided on Tunnel Mountain Meadows and Park Distillery for the dinner! I can't thank everyone enough.

Next on my list is accommodations. My fiancee and I are torn between booking a block of rooms at a hotel with reasonably priced rated or just letting everyone pick the hotel they are comfortable with. Thoughts?

I am also looking at accommodations for my my fiancee and I. Those who got married in the town, where did you stay? I am hoping to find something that will have a space for me and my 2 bridesmaids to get ready and also may have decent views for any pictures. I'm open to hotels and cabin like resorts as well. Any recommendations? I don't want to spend crazy amounts (Fairmont is out of the questions unfortunately LOL).

I look forward to seeing what you guys have to say!

Thank you!!

Hey Samantha! As the pp's said, I think it would be the best idea to book a hotel block. You don't want your guests to end up in a far away hotel just because they don't know the area. Smiley laugh

Congratulations on choosing your ceremony and reception venues!!Smiley love

I agree with Seleena; it doesn't hurt to book a block of hotel rooms. The only thing that would "go wrong" with that is if you don't get enough people to book then the price goes back up to the regular price.

Plus, if your guests are like my family - they will enjoy having rooms right next together to get ready together and pre drink before the reception.

Honestly, for your guests sake, book a hotel block! Sometimes it can be pretty hard to find accommodation in that area. Plus, when you book a block of hotels, they'll get cheaper rates. Also, NOBODY goes to Banff to just sit in their hotel, so who cares what it looks like lol!

I honestly think most of the hotels in Banff to be extremely outdated and old looking. If you want somewhere with an amazing view (and not super outdated), check out Banff Inn.
