Backyard style

Danielle, on July 26, 2018 at 22:23 Posted in Wedding reception 0 7
I really want a backyard style wedding with games and a bon fire, all that fun stuff. I'm having a really hard time finding somewhere in the Edmonton area that would work. Unfortunately I don't think I could find someone with a big enough yard for 100 people. Any suggestions, all are appreciated!

Good call, I searched that and found some campgrounds which would work perfectly.

My friend just got married at the Country Lodge in Edmonton. There is a huge lawn there with a fire pit. I think you could get the backyard feel there as the reception building looks like a large cabin.

    Check out their website:

Maybe there are some resorts nearby with multiple cabins that you could rent? I myself am going with Rivers Edge Resort out here in Elma Manitoba. Bonfires for the win!

Campgrounds, parks, touristy places with lots of property. You could also easily have a 100 person wedding in a backyard that is less than an acre.

We are having ours at a summer camp! Everyone is staying in the cabins for the weekend. Is there anything out there that would be similar?

Unfortunately the backyard vibe sometimes really needs a backyard...
However! Have you looked into any lodges or rustic hotels, maybe just out of town, near a forest or body of water? You may be able to find a place with grounds that are large enough to do everything outdoors, and you can set up in a laid back, rustic, intimate style?
Manors or something similar usually have gardens/lawns that could be set up however you like.
