Back to Basics - Where will your wedding take place?

Americana in Niagara falls. It was the easiest way to get all in one. A place for out of town guests, dinner, ceremony. I've been to wedding there and the food was great. It was so much fun. Hopefully I can have a fun wedding for my guests

Still looking for a venue. Few things that have been decided: Reception and ceremony in the same place or within walking distance, going to be in Nova Scotia, and going to be within a 2-hour drive from our home (for planning purposes and to maintain our sanity, we want to be able to go out as a day trip if necessary for meetings, etc).

We will be getting married at my future FIL's acreage. We had initially decided on the Yellowhead Brewery in Edmonton, but as the cost of the reception and ceremony went up, our guest list started getting smaller and smaller... we decided that didn't make sense for the kind of wedding we wanted, so since the FIL offered up his place for the wedding as a backup, we decided to take him up on it! It'll (hopefully) be a rustic, somewhat casual wedding. Going to do a lot of the baking ourselves, dollar store decorations, and rent some speakers and a stage for dancing. Lots of string lights in the trees, and we'll probably get a few tents. Trying to be a little more on the frugal side while also still creating a beautiful, elegant event... here's hoping it works out!

Our wedding took place in Innisfil, ON. at Kempenfelt Conference Center that had a modern look to it.

My husband showed me this place and considered it as it had everything for wedding set up to plated service during reception and great lighting coming in from the windows. This venue was taken over by the government last November.

We're having ours at the Ancaster Mill. 4 months into our relationship, we semi-jokingly planned our wedding and wanted it there, and now it's finally happening!

Our wedding will be in Halifax NS, the ceremony will be at a canoe club and the reception will be at a bar. We wanted something unique, I didn't want it to look like a hotel.

Our wedding will take place in Ajax Ontario at a Golf course. I have always loved golf course weddings so I knew that would be nice and our reception will be in the country club!

Our wedding will take place in Alberta. I wanted to go to Banff but all my family lives in Saskatchewan so we decided to do it at home. It will be at the Sheraton and he picked it because it has the best food.

The Diamond Alumni Centre on the SFU Burnaby campus (on top of Burnaby Mountain). We are so excited, it's a rustic getaway within the city, with amazing mountain views.

In North Vancouver, it's actually the school board building. 5th floor is event space with a raised spoked ceiling above big cut outs into the floor. Super interesting architecture! With a big big patio over looking downtown Vancouver, Stanley Park and West Vancouver. Absolutely beautiful!

On a farm in Alberta near Lloydminster. My fiancé always wanted to get married on the farm and I love the idea!

In Whitby - at a golf course !

Our wedding took place at my uncle's "farm" in Cobourg.

It will be taking place in Chelsea, Qc at a Vineyard/Sugar shack!

The wedding itself is in a church that has nothing really special about it, but the reception venue is a hotel right by the St. Lawrence River (at that point, it's 20 km wide and salty, and has tides, so it feels more like a sea).

We chose it because I really wanted to get married in my hometown, and I knew this place was gorgeous and affordable, as my family had hosted a reception there a few years ago for my grandparents' 65th anniversary.

Seabreeze resort in Powell River, BC.

It has cabins for accommodation, is beachfront, has a campground, has horses, ducks, a creek with a romantic bridge setting. It literally has it all! Ceremony will be at the beach, and reception with be a tent setup in the campground for our rustic wedding dreams. We spend most of our time outdoors, so we wanted to be able to incorporate that!

Our wedding will be at Rivers Edge Resort in Elma and it will be on the dock followed by supper in the rustic pavilion and outdoor bonfires! It just suits who we are.

Kempenfelt Conference Center in Innisfil was beautiful and now closed foe good.

We're getting married in Woodbridge (Vaughan), ON, our reception venue's look and feel is modern (ish). It's a very nice, crisp venue. Our ceremony site is outdoors, green, very close to nature.

In the most stunning barn the Niagara region has to offer. Stonewall Estates is absolutely breath taking, though it costing us a pretty penny... it’s 100% worth it!

Getting married in Edmonton. Not sure how to describe our venue but it has delicious food!

Our wedding will be in Chatham, ON. At the Country Church and Wedding Barn!
We both didn't want a typical wedding venue (banquet hall, wineries etc) we wanted something smaller and unique. He mentioned that he would love to get married in a barn and that's when I made it my goal to find the perfect barn for him, and I did!

At a beautiful fine dining restaurant which is a 1920s Stoney Manor on the Lake front.

Our ceremony will be in a garden just east of Edmonton. There is a beautiful gazebo to have the ceremony under and it’s the perfect setting for the type of wedding we wanted.
