Avoiding period for wedding

Hey Brides! I’m super nervous that I will get my period on my wedding day.. is there anything that you can do to avoid getting it? My weddings not till next June but I feel like that would be the worse thing ever having your period on your wedding day and throughout your honeymoon! I’m on the 5 year Kyleena IUD right now.. any advice? Thanks!!

    Def talk to your doc. maybe you can switch to the pill and then skip it for the month stop it and then go back on the IUD. track your periods right now and see if you will be on or close to your period on your wedding date.

    Definitely talk to your doctor.


    I've heard you can wear a diva cup when you're not on your period in case it arrives unexpectedly. If you've never used one try it several months before so you can get the hang of it. I still haven't figured mine out, but a few friends swear by theirs.
    I'm on the pill so I'll be adjusting when I take them to avoid a period that whole week. My doctor and I have discussed that missing one or two a year is safe, so I've used this method for vacations before.

    I would probably talk to your doctor.


    I use the pill so I can change my cycle based on when I take the pill, but I do know it’s not recommended to change your cycle a lot.
    Definitely talk to your doctor and see what they recommend!
