Automated texts to guests

Alexandra, on February 6, 2020 at 07:10 Posted in Plan a wedding 0 4
Has anyone ever used an automated text service to communicate with guests (or a service in general that might work at weddings)?

I am trying to find a way to send a couple mass texts to our guests the day of our wedding - reminder where the ceremony is, where the venue is, when it opens, etc. I’m hoping this will minimize the amount of people texting me for information day of. I have heard of digital bride, but I’m not sure if they are only American.

Digitally wise, I haven't heard of it here so far in Canada though there may be some websites to offer this service if available.

The other solution is to use other apps of FB, WhatsApp or Twitter to send your guests the Wedding Day Program of ceremony site/Reception with timing so they will be aware.

Never heard of this - but I would just send a mass text and not reply to any of them that text back. Something along the lines of "...information.... This is a mass text. Please do not reply back. Thank you and we look forward to seeing you!" Good idea nonetheless!

I've never heard of this! I would make sure it doesn't come from your phone so people don't respond, or that the message clearly states that they cannot respond so you don't get swamped with "ok"s or questions.

If the app doesn't work you could set an email to be sent at a specific time, and Facebook might have the same feature so a post goes out on a schedule.
