Are you incorporating cultural elements into your wedding?

What we know for sure:

We’re having a “queh queh” (aka “kwe kwe”) to acknowledge my Guyanese heritage and we’ll be jumping the broom to acknowledge his African American ancestry.

We incorporated indian formal wear to a civil marriage and a bollywood entrace for the reception. Looked fantastic and turned out as planned. Hope yours does too if you go ahead with it.

Nothing in particular. It was just a representation of us.

The only cultural tradition I incorporated was being walked down the aisle by both my parents, which is part of the Jewish tradition from one side of my family. Everything else was a standard nondenominational wedding.

No nothing in particular!! We are just doing a traditional catholic wedding! We don't have a whole lot of major traditions other than something old, new, borrowed, blue 😊

...everything about a wedding is cultural. weddings are cultural events.
