Are you getting your rings soldered?

My fiance and I were just talking about this today! He thought I should get it done before the wedding so on the day he would be putting the wedding and engagements rings on. But, I'm not sure that I want to be apart from my engagement ring right before the wedding! Plus, he won't let me see the ring beforehand so I don't know how it will feel separated.

I'm going to leave them apart for now but might end up getting them soldered. If I do, I will probably do it while we are gone on our honeymoon (since we are delaying it) that way I won't really miss them!

I'm definitely getting mine soldered. They came as a set, and my wedding band is extremely thin, so I can't imagine I could ever wear it on it's own, so to make sure I don't loose it, I'll be getting them soldered.

Interesting! Never thought about that before.

I wear mine separately depending on the occasions.

Not having it done. I think it makes sense but I want to able to wear either or for different activities.

I did not, but mine originally were a set so fit together very well. They spin around so I fiddle with them a bit but I don't mind that. I like being able to take off my e-ring for yoga and keep my wedding band on (it sits very flat to my hand so it doesn't bother me when I exercise). My sister's rings weren't a set so didn't fit flush together so she got her soldered.

I don't event really want a wedding band, it doesn't suit my ring. I may pick something out and wear it on my other hand. This is the wedding band that goes with my ring, it's $500 and it completely changes the look of my beautiful engagement ring and not in a good way. It would need to be soldered.

I didn't even know this was a thing or even possible. Not sure I would like it, but it definitely is a great idea to make sure things stay put.

I had my rings fused and it only took a day. Due to the shape of my wedding band and engagement ring they were constantly separating in different directions which was very annoying.

I hear ya. My engagement ring moves around a lot - I'm blessed with big knuckles and small fingers, so I new there was no chance that I wanted the rings to not be soldered.

I had mine done before the wedding. It was done the Monday before so I was without my engagement ring for a week (because I wasn't 'allowed' to wear my wedding bands before we were married lol), but I wanted it done before since we left right away on our honeymoon. And it took a week at our jeweler, for time reference. But they were also making the bands, so maybe that made it easier/quicker to solder together?

I will deffinately be looking into it, but it would be something I would get done after the wedding!
