I will be walking myself down the aisle, I've always been fiercely independent and can't imagine doing it any other way. I don't have a relationship with my biological father, and my mother and I have always had a strained dynamic, so it just doesn't feel right to be walked by someone just because tradition tells me to.

I will be escorted, I would rather just my dad but when my sister got married, the day of my mom decided she needed to as well. I just find with the dress I need to hold part of it and cant do that if linking arms. I am including my mom in every step of the way and she will be still there before I get sent off and can give her a kiss on check same as my dad before he gives me away. I am hoping I can get away with that instead

I personally chose not to be escorted down the aisle. I originally wanted my best friend/grandfather to do it; but, he passed away 5 years ago. I do not think it would be fair leaving out my father or step-father which I am very close with or my other grandfather. I will have my fiance's children walk down the aisle first and take a seat, then my brothers and sister, then my bridesmaids one by one, my maid of honour, and then me.
