Are you assigning seats, assigning tables, or leaving it open?

We are assigning tables and will be using place cards to indicate meals

We will be assigning tables. I think it's a bit much to assign seats but way too hectic to have open seating.

I was hoping to have assigned tables but no place cards until our Venue told us how important place cards are for them. If Mr. Jones is having chicken and Mrs Jones is having Salmon, the place cards need colored rhinestones to differentiate who is having which entree. A whole different color rhinestone for Vegetarian and allergies etc. They said using different colors of pen doesn't show up in the dim light so rhinestones are there suggestion.

For sure doing assigned seating. If they want to deviate from it by trading places then they can go for it but we will be as assigning it at first. We just want to make sure that people closest to us are at the front and the others that we are inviting out of obligations aren't pushing their way to the front table.

We did assigned tables, but let them pick their own seat at their table.

We are doing assigned tables, and then they can sit wherever they want. Nothing worse than getting to a table and finding out you are sitting next to someone you don't really like

We are having 3 long tables (like 18 folks on each side) and we think it'll be easier for everyone to have assigned seating.
