Are fake flowers for center pieces cheesy?

Melissa, on May 27, 2018 at 19:50 Posted in DIY 0 15
I want to make my own centrepieces but I wanna know if people think fake flowers for them would be cheesy? I would get nicer ones from micheals or a craft store because I have heard to many horror stories about flowers for centrepieces dying.

I think so long as they're done tastefully, they can be nice.

I don't think so! We are renting fake greenery (with pillar and votive candle accents) instead of traditional centerpieces, as we are having two longer tables. We are doing a minimalist wedding, so we didn't see the need for big centerpieces.

I think going fake is the way to go! You can re-sell and get some of your money back, or rent, and not worry about the hassle!

We almost did fake flowers but opted for real. I don't think it's cheesy at all!

Fake flowers can work to your advantage with the right look and glamour. I had rented white floral balls that seemed realistic. Picture to show the elegance.

It’s okay to use fake. My friend bought hers from the dollar store and you could tell they were fake. But, if you spend a little more money than that, you can find some nice ones!

I think fake flower centrepieces can look beyond amazing! As long as you experiment beforehand with them, go for it!

Nope I don't think fake flowers are cheesy! We are DIYing are centre pieces with fake silk flowers, and Michaels has some really nice faux flowers. I got all my flowers from House of Silk, including my bridal bouquet. I didn't want to spend a lot of money on the flowers, and this way I can keep them and use them for decoration around the house after our wedding. Here's a photo of my centrepiece my wonderful sister (MOH) created for my wedding Smiley smile. You can think about doing non-floral centre piece, but there's nothing wrong with fake flowers (imo)!

I definitely think fake is the way to go if your heart is set in floral! Cheaper and easier for sure! We are going with non-floral centrepieces and my bouquet will be fake!

As long as you get nice silk flowers it shouldn't be a problem. They make such lovely and realistic ones nowadays. There is also the option of paper flowers which you can also do really well it just requires more work Smiley smile

Have you considered non-floral centrepieces? I feel like I might be in the minority on this site, but I’ve never been a fan of flake floral arrangements. There are some really beautiful alternatives if you’re heart isn’t set on flowers, or some centrepieces that would only require a few flowers to finish it off if you would like some. At the end of the day though, do what works for you and your budget and as long as you love it, who cares. Smiley smile
