Try Online. I found a few that are non-denominational/Christian. I am still looking.

Does any one know a premarital counsellor that is not religious that would do free or low cost counselling? We have no money but see the value in it but were not religious so going to a church and asking seems weird

We are doing marriage counselling. We go see the pastor once a month until the wedding. He has given us material that we work on prior to meeting with him that we discuss during our session.

In our area, to get married in a catholic church, you have to attend a weekend of marriage preparation. We were 24 couples and it was amazing to meet different couples that were opposite or similar to us. We never thought that we would enjoy ourselves so much and we realized that we knew each other more than we thought lol

We are. Almost finished. We don't have any major issues in our relationship but still wanted to go through it. It was a good confirmation that we are doing things right. We did learn a bit more about each other. We are hoping it has prepared us for some unexpected's that could happen in our relationship, but we won't really know until one of those happens. I think it's important to learn as much as you can about each other in as many ways as possible; counselling is one of those ways.

Yes, we’re going to do couples counselling prior to the wedding as we both think it’s important.

If if we were getting married by one of our family pastors they’d require it, but we’re not so we’re taking it upon ourselves to ensure it gets done.

I think so, there was a lot of information we learnt so it I thought it was beneficial. We also had a session with a group of couples at different stages in their marriages, engaged, newlywed, divorced/remarried couples, and couples that have been married for 30years +. It was great to hear different experiences, and we both took stuff that applied to us. And we have notes we can always refer back too when we are experience trouble in our marriage.

Oh, it will. It's completely different with this one. I was young and dumb with the first.

We did premarital counselling before our wedding, it was 2 hours per session for 6 weeks/sessions.

No, because we aren't having a catholic ceremony. I went through marriage prep with my previous marriage though.
