Any toronto / ontario brides that have been to the bridal project?

Just curious what your experience was like! Did you get your dress there? I really love the idea of spending less on my dress and love that the money goes to charity even more!

Check out Second Dance in St. Catharines! They are a consignment store. I met the owner at the Hamilton Bridal Show. If I don't find my dress soon, I'm going to make the drive to St. Catherines to check it out!

I'd love to go. I'm originally from Toronto and heard wonderful things about the Bride Project. I have some time yet but have started setting dates for shows. The 1 day dress shows Opportunity Bridal has a very wide selection and very affordable they travel and set up in various cities across Ontario. They are on Facebook as well.Fiance is away at work so I'll miss the one scheduled here.

Well I say you should at least go check it out! You might find your dream dress!!! I say it from a place of deep regret....do it for me!!!! I really wish I had at least looked before forking out money for a dress that I am still questioning.

I wish I could have gone to a place like that! I looked into them, but being plus size, I was already dreading dress shopping and finding something that would fit so I decided against anything second hand... my ego just couldn't have handled it Smiley xd

    Understandable!
I think that because I have so much time until my wedding I can go back a few times if necessary.
I'm really tempted to just splurge and get exactly what I want vs. Something I'd like at a decent price.

Volunteer run storefront that takes donated wedding dresses and sells them, with the funds going to cancer research / camp for kids with cancer. They have 500+ dresses, is self serve and dresses are typically 300-800 dollars, max 1500. Smiley smile so you can get a designer dress for a fraction of the cost. Google them!

I was really planning on going, and I am really disappointed in myself that I didn't. I got a bit caught up in dress shopping and bought one.

The good Karma on those dresses is such a great bonus! and a designer dress for a good price can't be beat!

I do know a girl who got her dress there, and was very pleased with her dress. The experience isn't quite as "formal" as boutique shopping, but they were helpful and referred her to a great seamstress for alterations!
