Do you and your partner exchange anniversary gifts? Do you choose presents that follow the yearly traditional anniversary gifts - paper for year one, cotton for year two, leather for year three... and so on? What are some of your best anniversary gift ideas?

We tend to plan a nice date rather than give gifts for our anniversaries. This year will be our most expensive yet: we are getting married 2 days before our third dating anniversary!

I am hoping he buys me something nice yet not expensive as i will get him a nice watch from People's Jewellers for our one anniversary. I will give it to him after cutting the cake at home and spending time with family for lunch.

We did last year for our one year anniversary. I got him an engraved Bulova watch. He loves watches and his Nana did the same for his Pepe on their one year wedding anniversary. He got me a necklace and an engagement ring (the day before our anniversary but still counts). We probably won't this year, we are saving all money for the baby and the wedding so we will probably just go out for a nice romantic dinner.

We're very inconsistent on gift-giving and usually just end up going out for dinner as a "gift". Knowing my FH well, I can confidently say that he's probably not going to want to follow the traditional wedding anniversary gifts and we'll probably just take a nice vacation every year as our gift to each other.

We usually do a weekend staycation for our anniversary. I don't know if we will be following any traditions, we just go with the flow!

We've done a little bit of everything: some years presents, some years just going out, some years nothing, while dating.

I don't know what we'll do once we're married, it'll be a totally different anniversary but I do know FH wants to 'celebrate' both - he said we'll always go on a date for our dating anniversary. Personally I kind of what to do the list ones, but like in a silly and fun way. I guess we'll see how things go.

We didn't celebrate dating anniversaries with presents. We would normally just treat ourselves to a nice dinner out. We probably won't follow wedding anniversary present traditions either but who knows!

I have only had 1 anniversary worth of dating my FH but even though I don't follow the yearly traditional gift list I actually happened to make him a coupon book! NO WORRIES - it had coupons like: 1 free slurpee run, breakfast in bed, stop talking, back rub/scratch, etc.

I suppose that when we get married we will have a new anniversary though and could go according to the list to avoid not having a good idea of what to get if one of us is stumped though.
