Am I the Only One??

Katie, on June 3, 2019 at 11:49 Posted in Plan a wedding 0 9

We have 243 days left until our wedding and well, EVERY NIGHT, WITHOUT FAIL, I am dreaming about wedding planning. It is exciting but absolutely exhausting lol... I just want my dreams to come true without breaking the bank, and it is hard. End of rant Smiley heart

It happened to me a LOT in the beginning ! It gets better, honestly think I had stress or anxiety about it all so once I was able to relax it got better and hardly happens anymore.

The same thing has happened to me! We are getting married in Punta Cana and now I've started having nightmares that my passport is expired/lost and I can't make the wedding!

Oh ya once we agreed to start planning and set a date my mind was constantly buzzing with wedding stuff!! Especially as I researched all the vendors and narrowed down what I want for decor, dress, etc.

Now that everyone is booked/deposits are down all that is left is invitations, putting decor together and dress appointments and we are still like 15 months away. I am finally settling myself down a bit. I’ve definitely had dreams about dresses and centrepieces though haha.

    I have legitimate nightmares.

I think i more worry about things i cant control which is the problem (I.e., will people show up? Will they have fun? Will they like the food?)

my fh keeps telling me I need to stop worrying but how do you do that 😂

I find that the more u deal with certain tasks the dreams go away. It’s just anxiety, just do something every day/week. You’ll feel better.

I had a few really crazy dreams about wedding planning, but they haven't happened as often. I find as soon as something big, or stressful happens thats when I have the dreams.

Try to take as many notes as you can after the dream to see where your mind is going! Like Tori said make a ton of lists, It helps so much to get all your ideas down!

I think this happens to a lot of us! For me, the dreams were always about what I was currently working on regarding the wedding at the time. Now that I am 2 months away, the dreams are few and far between (since the wedding is basically ready to go lol) Smiley smile

I have for sure had some of those - not every night though! If you haven't already, I highly recommend making lists and writing it all out so get it on paper!
