Alternatives to a flower bouquet

Chelsea, on November 23, 2016 at 09:16 Posted in Wedding fashion 0 8

Hey lovely ladies! So one of the things that constantly change today in weddings would be that brides tend to want a unique one of a kind wedding that will surprise everyone!
Wedding trends are constantly changing every year and we can find the top trends for venues, decor, flowers, food ect online and in magazines!
I saw on four brides lately that a bride had her bridesmaids walk down the aisle with these small little balloons in place of a flower bouquet. They were fun and whimsical and the guests either loved it or hated it....
Out of these options below which one is your favourite alternative to an actual flower bouquet and which one is your least favourite!

I like the lanterns, parasols, corsage and balloons, though I wouldn't want to go have balloons out of principle.

Hey Chelsea, I totally agree with you! I love the book idea, it's a great idea to write something for your bridemaids in them Smiley smile And the corsage is probably one of my favourites too! Smiley love Will your bridesmaids have corsages or bouquets?

I love flowers so I really kind of like the flower purse. I also kind of love the balloon idea, that would go especially well if you had the Disney "Up" theme for your wedding. I have also seen some beautiful bouquets made from buttons and some origami paper flower bouquets and boutineers (I am actually considering origami boutineers for our wedding, since FH is Japanese Canadian and he has made me a bunch of paper cranes including some beautiful little earings)

These are some great ideas! I like the idea of the books (it would have gone great with our theme!) but I feel like it might be a little heavy and awkward to hold during the ceremony. And then you need to make sure that everyone has room to stack them at their table for the reception, etc. The lanterns look fun and I like the idea of the corsages too! (Though I feel like if you had a corsage, what would you do with your hands when walking down the aisle?)

I'm not a big fan of the feather bouquet, just not my style!

Hmmmm if I have to choose it would have to be broach and feathers! I love the broach bouquets, but I'm getting married in the spring so I think I'll stick with the flowers. Have you decided which you will choose ?

The fans look pretty, and the parasols I think I saw before from way back and though it looked neat, but I really like the corsage Smiley smile

The bound books are creative - you can write some kind words to each of your bridesmaids and have the books bound for them as a gift and use them as a bouquet... However I personally like having flowers so I would choose the corsage as my favourite.

Also some of the ideas would only be useful in the summer time (fans, parasols), or at night time (lanterns)
