Alternative Limo Options

Jessica, on March 13, 2019 at 12:46 Posted in Plan a wedding 0 10

I am having a hard time paying these high amounts for a limo or party bus for my bridal party when no one is going to see us in it and we only need the ride one way. Does anyone have any alternative solutions for getting 8+ people to the wedding?

Ask a friend who has a vintage car or minivan to have the whole wedding party go together and be the designated driver. It does help cutting down the cost and to be seen as you wish.

It's definitely a cost that can be slimmed down, definitely check out renting a car/suv

Consider a designated driver service or a car sharing service

HI There! We have the same issue. Renting a school bus was $1000. So we are having two friends with minivans and SUV shuttle us to the venue. renting an SUV or Mini van from say enterprise or Budget for 1 or 2 days is way cheaper than limo or limo bus

We're carpooling to and from the places we're staying and the ceremony and venue sites. My fiance and I will be getting a ride from the ceremony site to the reception venue in the Mustang convertible of a family friend.

Although my wedding is going to be at Rivers Edge Resort (we have it for the weekend so everybody is suppose to sleep the night there on Friday and Saturday that are in the wedding party), if it was in the city I would say we would have just used TappCar or met at the venue.

I would think about splitting your party up and having 2 vehicles (4+ in each) to drive to the wedding. It seems insane how much limos charge for something most people don't see.

Also school bus rentals are a thing, you might be able to rent the mini school busses too for your party.

Im planning on renting a jeep that seats 8 passengers. It is way cheaper than a limo or bus and you can keep it for the weekend not just a couple of hours.

We basically had few guys drive their trucks and squeeze in for my sisters wedding. Or you can rent something like an airbus thats a fancy version limo places do but less money.

At my sisters wedding a couple of years ago, we borrowed someones big ole truck. It was funny seeing 5 girls in dresses getting out of this massive, lifted truck lol.

I guess that would be my suggestion, ask someone if you can borrow a vehicle? Do you want all 8 people in the same vehicle? We had to split ours up because there were 12 people total in the wedding party. I don't actually remember what the rest of the people did because it was all crazy and hectic. But literally the only people who saw us were the people in the parking lot just getting to the ceremony.
