Hi all! The photo is not relevant, just for attention!

I'm getting married june 22,2019 and I want to lose around 50 pounds or so (its true when they say love makes you fat 😂) but I'm looking for anyone else who is looking to lose a good amount of weight before their big day as a support system and a way to stay accountable Smiley smile


I do lots of hiking with my fiancee and we eat keto but I have terrible thyroid issues which make my life miserable!

I dont care what diet, regimen, etc you follow or whether or not you exercise, I'm just really hoping for a good support system. Please comment or message me on Facebook or Instagram if you're interested Smiley smile

    I've been using MyFitnessPal, and with the help/guidance of my family doctor and a specialist (for an unrelated health thing), I am eating a 1200 calorie/day diet, mostly liquids. I have cut out all empty carbs (bread/pasta/etc.), and am not eating any starch, so no potatoes or rice.

    My kids have motivated me, and so has how I want to look in my wedding dress on the day. I will still have a lot of weight to lose even after the wedding, but I'd like to at least have a decent start on it!

    I think that keeping myself accountable for what I eat (even a small bite) is essential. You don't realize how those little bites add up!

    My key was using MyFitness Pal, I was a bit obsessed about documenting everything and counting macros. I found out which carbs work with me and which ones don't (that was HUGE! and definitely needed patience), so I don't really miss out on much.

    For me, not feeling like I absolutely needed a cheat meal was very important. I really like the flexible diet, I lost my first 25 pounds with that (and not exercising), and while it is slower, I managed to keep them off for over two years with minimal correction along the way and travelling around 4 times a year and totally indulging when I'm abroad. I am now working towards losing 15 more.

    What motivates me is getting back to a healthy weight for trying to concieve again. I also want to look even more amazing in my wedding dress. I am sooooo excited for my wedding although it is in winter. Which I wouldn’t have chosen if not for the importance of the day of being when our daughter would have been one. There is one diet I do and it seems crazy, but it has worked for me. My only problem in the past was not changing my eating habits and especially since guys can seem to eat anything and not gain a single lbs whereas for me it was like I gained weight just looking at it lol. But I’m dedicated to losing the weight and maintaining it. I joined the Facebook group Smiley smile

    I had gained a lot of weight gain after my miscarriage last year July. So far I am down about 90lbs since January and am planning to lose about another 60lbs in the next couple of months.

    I'm on WW as well! I've lost 13lbs so far, and that's with only following it "most" of the time... haha. Gonna become more dedicated now as the weather warms up and I can get outside!

    The weekly meetings really help keep you motivated, and express your strengths and weaknesses with people who get it!

    Yes! I have been trying to go to the gym regularly we also love hikes with our dogs. I am on weight watchers right now as well which really helps as long as I keep to the program.

    Yes I eat keto.. no carbs is amazing and I really dont miss them! I dont have a Wii anymore but that used to be great motivation for me too!!

    I dropped a bunch of weight a few years ago, going Paleo helped me the most! No carbs/dairy I found was the best for me!

    Also I weighed myself weekly on my wii fit board which sounds a little lame but watching your little mii get skinnier and skinner was a HUUUUGE motivation for me!

    Great! Ideally I'd love to lose 75 pounds but I will be happy if I can lose 50 Smiley smile

    Thyroid issues can definitely be an uphill battle! Ideally I want to lose 30lbs more. I lost 10 lbs last month, so I’m hoping I can be down 20lbs more by August to start dress shopping. A motivation/ accountability group is an awesome idea.

    I'm here with you Tyanna! My wedding is October 5th 2019 and although I'm not sure if I will be able to get down to my ideal weight (75 lbs to go!) I am here for you! I have actually been putting it off with reasons like buying a house but no more! WE CAN DO THIS!
