Accessories to go with my dress?

Meghan, on November 13, 2020 at 23:51 Posted in Wedding fashion 0 5

Hello all! so I just found my dress, and now I am thinking accessories. my dress is pictured, it doesn't show well, but it is quite beaded and shimmery, colour will be ivory over a blush colour. I need shoes, jewelry, and something to keep warm on a cooler June 4th evening.

my wedding will be June 4/2022, on a historic ranch in the Okanagan. ceremony will be on a grassy hill, and reception in a covered, but open air pole barn. for shoes, id like something I can wear again, so not super sparkly, and comfy is a must! I was thinking maybe a jean jacket, or an off white leather jacket to keep warmish? jewelry I have no idea...

any suggestions help!

Love the dress! I would go with something similar to what you have on right now for necklaces. You don't want to take away too much from the dress. A bracelet and even small earrings to maybe match your necklace would be very nice as well!

    Gorgeous!
I like the shape of the necklace you have on in the photo. I would look for something simple like that.
I bought my jewelry from Olive & Piper. I had the same plan where I wanted simple and something I could wear again. I did stud earrings, a matching bracelet, and borrowed pearls from my husband's grandmother (a wedding gift from her husband). I've worn the earrings since, and we have a date night soon where I plan to wear the bracelet again too!I like your denim jacket idea, but I would wait until a little closer. Jean jackets at weddings are really trendy now, and by 2022 you might be sick of the idea. I bought sparkly keds for my shoes (which my photographer said have been very popular lately.) I was comfy all night and handled walking on sand and a short hike for some of our photos.

Maybe some smaller sparkly earrings and a nice veil? Your dress is gorgeous!
I grew up in Vernon! (I saw Okanagan and clicked on your profile lol)

Your dress is beautiful! It has a lot of details, so I would keep jewelry to a minimum. Avoid a necklace to show off that neckline. I would do a bracelet (maybe crystal) and matching earrings. That’s it!

For jewelry, how about some bracelets? Or if you have one, an understated vintage watch. I would say no need for a necklace to keep your neckline long. Depending on how you do your hair, some kind of comb could work too. Go with yellow or rose gold if you don't want to highlight the dress color not being pure white but white gold/silver works too if you don't mind accentuating the ivory aspect of the dress.

For shoes, maybe white wedges? It can give you the extra height but also stay flat for the grassy hill. Or if you prefer traditional heels, something in a block heel over stilettos? My fiancee swears by Naturalizer for comfy shoes.
