5 ways to make your guests mixing

Hi Community Smiley shame

Wedding planning lead us to a major goal: make all of our guests feel included and connected! Here are five of my favorite ways Smiley winking

1. Host a cocktail hour before the ceremony: Cocktails are great conversation starters and will help pump your guests up for what’s to come.

2. Skip assigning sides at the ceremony: Try incorporating a fun phrase like “pick a seat not a side!”.

3. Provide the fun and games: Nothing connects people like a little competitive spirit, so add some friendly team competition to your wedding!

4. Appoint Guest Ambassadors: You will have some guests who don't know anyone else. You could quietly ask another guest to be their “ambassador” at the wedding.

5. Create a Who’s Who: Filled with names, pictures, and fun facts about your guests. Like how you know them, where they live, and what makes them amazing.

Some great ideas. I have a great creative bunch working with me and we'll get some interesting interaction activities going. I'll share when we narrow it down.

I am currently planning on the pick a seat not a side wedding sign and I love the idea of ambassadors since I have been to a wedding where I didn't know a soul other than the bride and groom, I had thought our mutual friends would attend but it was only me, the bride's family adopted me for the day and we had fun! I also love the who's who I might consider doing that for our wedding. We are also planning on doing a kissing menu since it serves a couple purposes. Getting people involved and doing things, stopping the glass clinking and hopefully slowing down the amount of standing up and kissing for an audience Smiley winking I also like the idea of the photo "scavenger hunt" to get people up and moving around doing things! We will probably do the "pick a seat, not a side, we are all family once the knot is tied" type of sign for the ceremony!

These are excellent ideas and I do like the guests ambassador idea; this is a good way for the guests to interact with one another.
