5 months out

Morgan, on March 19, 2019 at 12:31 Posted in Plan a wedding 0 14
Have any of you getting married soon reached the point in planning where things are starting to fall in place and get a big feeling of relief? Im planning the wedding alone so on the beginning it felt like such an overwhelming task (which it is) but every time I book a vendor or something RSVPs, the overwhelming feeling dissipates a little and it is replaced with excitement! Y’know?

Morgan, I am feeling exactly what you are! My wedding is also around 5 months away and it feels so nice that things are coming together and I can really start to picture it all Smiley smile Only 5 more months!

I'm 7 months now and not a lot to do right now, but have all the big ticket items booked/purchased. It definitely got feeling real when I sent out Save the Dates and got messages saying how guests were excited!

Now I'm in a weird limbo where it feels real and all deposits are down, but still far away that the final details aren't dealt with yet so random panicking! I've made monthly lists of things I need to accomplish so that has helped, plus I've purchased some decor/accessory items that help me feel like I got things falling into place.

Totally! Now that the major vendors have been booked, our "theme" shared with some of them (officiant and floral designer) as well as friends and family, it's starting to feel less like a vision and more like reality.

We went through a little panic attack when we first sent out our save the dates. We were sorta second guessing ourselves with what we had planned so far and whether it would represent us well. That feeling quickly passed when our friends started messaging us with excitement over our upcoming wedding!

I'm three months out and just starting to feel this, too. All the big things have been checked off, and it's too early to get stressed about the little last minute things. I'm really enjoying this period of relative calm Smiley smile

Definitely! It will continue to be that way once you give yourself time to organize the rest! If you have any “bumps in the road,” keep your head up and work to resolve them while working on something “easy” to keep you feeling accomplished.

My biggest moments of overwhelming panic is when I realize I forgot to do something, like I’m focused too much on all that I’ve done that I forget what I have left.. hopefully wedding planning will be like Christmas, there is that moment on Christmas Eve when everything is done and ready for the next day and it doesn’t matter anymore what you did or didn’t do.... that’s what I’m hoping for anyway Smiley winking

I need to get better at asking for help for sure!! Yeah I think I’m in that in-between where I’m just far enough away from the day that plans are well enough in place, but it’s not close enough to ensue panic just yet lol. this community also really helps out for sure

My wedding is still a ways away - but I'm getting this exact feeling right now with my wedding social that is taking place on the 29th!

I've got most things done and we are finishing up the posters and packages this weekend so we will be ready for the following weekend!!!!

I am still a little bit out, but I feel like once April comes along things will start rolling!

What a great feeling to have things start to fall in place! Do not be afraid to ask for help! You would be surprised who will jump at the opportunity

I found it got better and better until I was about 2.5 months out. I'm at 7 weeks left right now, and starting to feel like it's overwhelming again! But I have learned that asking for help, and vending to my bridesmaids helps.

Plus this wonderful WW community helps too!
