Hello lovelies!
As I'm getting deeper and deeper into my planning, I wanted to share with you a tip that has proved to be quite useful in a bunch of ways. At least so far!
I call it the "3 vendor rule" ! Well actually it was my mom's idea that she mentioned somewhat jokingly when we talked about how soon to book a vendor after meeting and whatnot, but I made it a thing for our planning purposes. lol
So basically it goes like this...try to meet with at least 3 vendors of the same category before making your decision. If you absolutely fall in love with the first vendor and you just have such a great feeling and there's absolutely nobody/nowhere that could be better, then of course just book the darn vendor! But try to be open to still meeting at least 2 more similar vendors. Use that first one as a benchmark and if none of them come close, you know you found the right one. But if you meet a vendor you somehow like more, you have a chance to compare and figure what it is that you like more.
It also gives you a chance to price check, which helps you stay in budget. Of course everything costs more because 'wedding', but sometimes companies are willing to work with you and massage their pricing if you can show them that another company offers the same or similar for less. Just be aware to not compare a paddle boat to a yacht, if you'll pardon the analogy....some vendors cost more for a reason!
So yes, long story short, try to look into at least 3 vendors per category before making your final decision. It helps, trust me!
If you have any tips of tour own, feel free to share. Hope this helps! Happy shopping!
