2023 Brides! What trends are you following??

Kate, on September 26, 2022 at 12:40 Posted in Plan a wedding 0 2

Al though we had our very special day this year, I find it interesting to follow future wedding trends! I found a list of some things that are "on trend" for 2023 (some things I've noticed brides have done even in 2022).

Which have these will you be following? and or any new ideas that you have not seen before that you will be doing? Smiley heart

RECEPTION ENTERTAINMENT

Your wedding reception should be a fun and festive celebration of your marriage, so it's important to choose the right entertainment. Gone are the days of hiring a band or DJ. Now, couples are opting for more unique and interactive forms of entertainment.

We're seeing everything from fire dancers to aerialists. If you want your wedding to be truly memorable, think outside the box when it comes to entertainment. For example, Funky Casinos will transform your wedding venue into a glitzy casino setting.

Micro Weddings

Micro weddings are intimate wedding affairs that usually have 40 or fewer guests. They can have all the traditional wedding elements or be unique to the individual. The main idea of a micro wedding is that it can be more relaxed and focused on very close friends and family. The bride and groom have more time to spend together and with each guest when compared to a larger wedding. Budgets are also less stretched as you can spend more money on each guest per head without cutting back on costs elsewhere.

Scaled Back Bouquets

I have nothing against big bouquets. In fact, I love them. But there’s something so chic and current about a scaled back bouquet, featuring ruffled blooms and smaller textures in a more intricate colour palette. Especially when paired with a more streamlined and architectural style dress, the effect is stunning.

I'm not on par with any trends hahaha except a black and white dress, those have been gaining traction over the last couple years.

I'm very much a march to the beat of my own drum and what makes us smile. I also Dare to be different and pull inspiration from anywhere.

FH is more traditional and I'm more of an adventurist so its made planning a small headache.

So! I am doing a lot of trends that are predicted for 2023.

I am doing a micro wedding, 40 of our closest friends and family in the mountains of Alberta for a ceremony and a small restaurant booking for reception/dinner.

I am changing into a party dress for the reception because I am getting photos done the next night at sunset in the mountains and do not want to get any stains on my dress.

Other trends that are not mentioned is pearls as accent jewelry, I am doing earrings, necklace and my head band will also have pears. Head bands are becoming a trend too which I am also doing and the only other trend I saw that I am doing, which is a big one I noticed with most brides online for their 2023 wedding is a simpler gown. Less sequence, lace and sparkle and more modern, clean line, simple gowns.
