Forgot about that and thanks for reminding. Meal courses vary according to pricing that can fit your budget which may be good to know.

I hope your planning process is coming well along with the venue and vendors. I see your doing Formal dinner which is going to take up a lot of the budget you have in mind. Buffet style is also a good way to have your guests satisfied on a lower budget. Host bar is limited time unless going open for the whole evening may cost more.

Getting the marriage license at the city hall now is a good way to have it on hand now if the officiant asks for it.

Your venue booked will help to have your invite ready to create along with hotel block for guests to have Accommodations available to reserve their room too along with cost. On the invite you can have your guests RSVP on this website easy to track for the final count.

I think Hank covered most of the basics.

With such a tight timeline I would seriously consider hiring a planner to reduce the stress from you. In a normal year I think it would be hard to find one on such short notice, but there are probably a few who had their whole seasons cancelled who would be available for 2020 dates. The connections and vendor relationships they have can save you time and money, but mostly time.

Expect to pay on average $150/person for a formal evening dinner, factoring in tax, service fees, and an open bar. It can go lower depending on the venue and food choice.

Mind if I ask, is there a reason you're getting married on your specific day? Unless you have a ton of free time, this will eat up pretty much your next two months. A lot of people spend up to a year or more on planning a formal wedding and for you to try and piece this together in eight weeks without a budget or venue in mind is a daunting task. Not impossible but if I were you, I would also set expectations accordingly.

It really depends on what you want and how many people are there. Are you looking for something formal in a ballroom or something casual like a backyard bbq?

    I assume you're only hosting 50 people?

First thing you need to do with your fiance is determine EXACTLY how much you're willing to spend. No point in anyone suggesting venues if we don't know whether it's out of your price range.

Second, get that marriage license at your local government. Some govt offices are heavily restricting the number of visits so you don't want to be delayed.

Third, book your officiant. Can't get married without one.

    Hey Maajidah,

So first things first: breathe. LOL

Second, tell us what you have:

    -Budget set?

    -Venue locked?

    -Wedding Clothes?

    -Guest list made up?

-Marriage licensed acquired at City Hall?

    -Officiant booked?
