2 day wedding

Melisa, on October 14, 2017 at 07:43 Posted in Plan a wedding 0 5
My ceremony will be on a friday at a beach front cottage and my reception the saturday evening in a hall. Has anyone done a 2 day wedding or been to one? Will my flowers last? Should i get a second dress? What else could go wrong?

If you are worried about the flowers, I'd suggest looking into doing fake flowers. It would be easy to put together and rearrange from the ceremony to the reception. It's also a budget-friendly option!

I think you should consider if the guests can give up 2 days for your wedding. If it's not a problem for them, then go ahead with it. The ceremony is very short (about 20 minutes), so it might be a long way for some to come just for the ceremony.

There are plenty of cultures that have multi-day weddings, this certainly isn't unheard of, and I'm sure it will be a lot of fun! Talk to your florist up front about how you'll be using the flowers, and how they need to be stored in between the two days. They will be able to steer you towards hearty flowers that will last.

It depends on what type of flowers. Hydrangeas for example will not last since they're delicate. Baby's breath will definitely last. Talk to a florist and see what your options are - they will be able to make a recommendation that will give you the most bang for your buck!

That is different, but not unheard of. Real flowers might not last to the next day depending on the type of flowers, so maybe fake flowers would be better. As for the dress, that’s up to you, but I would wear it again, especially at the cost of it.
