100 days to go and in freaking out

Elycia, on March 1, 2018 at 05:01 Posted in Before the wedding 0 14
I'm a very anxious person which is why I wanted to elope.
We gave ourselves 2 years to plan the wedding and I feel as of today everything decrotive that needed to be done is done.

However it's coming up on shower time and all the other "parties" leading up to the wedding which also make me anxious as we didn't register for much because we're currently looking for a more permanent living space. We only created registries because my future mother in law harassed us about it.

I guess I'm just wondering if I'm missing something.but I've done everything on the checklist.

I've already assigned my brother / future sister in law to get McDonald's for breakfast.

I sat down and went through the entire day pice by piece. Don’t know that it works for everyone though. I basically went through all the details of the day and if I was missing anything. So, for example we are starting to get ready at 9am, ceremony at 2pm so I went through the morning and realized we would need lunch, which I hadn’t thought of before going through all the details

You're probably doing fine! I get it though, with so many moving pieces its easy to feel like something is being forgotten.

We had the same issue with Registries.. I've been living on my own for 10 years and been with my partner for the last 2. between Christmas, birthdays, and housewarming we have everything we need for our house!

His grandmother is upset we don't have more on the registry but it doesn't make sense to me to add things just for the sake of having it!

Escort cards are cards which tell your guests at what table they should sit, and can also be used to indicate what meal your guest has requested. If you're doing a seating chart you don't need to do escort cards as well, it's one or the other.

A stag and doe is a fundraiser for the couple and a baclorette party is just an activity with your bridesmaids...at least that's my understanding

What is the difference between stag/doe and bachelor/bachelorette parties?

    What are escort cards?

we're having a buffet so that's fine I have 73 of 120 RSVP so far a lot did so just after we sent out invites. I moved my hair and makeup trial to march to do it early incise i don't like what they do. I hate wearing makeup but I need it for pictures so i'm not a pale ghost in a champagne dress.

I'm mostly anxious because I really dislike being the centre of attention and surprises and both my bridal shower and bachlorette party are surprises.

I'm also at 100 days! You're lucky you are having all of these parties. We aren't having anything like that. We had our stag and doe and that's it. We won't be having bachelor or bachelorette parties either. As long as you're done everything on the checklist you're fine. We had our menu tasting last night and I had my second hair trial with a new hair stylist. Do you have all of your day of or week of appointments made? We are starting to get back a lot of our RSVP's so we've been adding them to a spreadsheet to keep track of everyone's meals. Once we get all of those in we will start working on the seating chart and the escort cards.

You have the big ticket items tajen care of the list. Now tou will feel the smaller details will come to mind. If you have completed everything needed, then your ok.

The only thing to finish now are getting responses back soon and escort cards if doing them

100 days? You are fine. I’ve found that a lot of things don’t need to be done till closer to the date anyways. I have all the big stuff booked etc but since my wedding is in April I’m waiting to put the Favours and centre piece together (the pieces are bought) and I can’t fully do my seating chart yet as I’m still waiting on some RSVP’s. I’m taking it as doing a little every week. April will be busier.

If you’ve done everything on the checklist then I’m sure you’re fine! It’s probably just the excitement of everything coming together. Did you prepare money for tipping? Have your “day of” plan ready to go?
