I don't really like number 5 (not really my style) but I do like a lot of these. As we are having a rustic wedding we have been thinking about using mason jars for a lot of little decorations. Great inspiration to put in the bank.

Does anyone have an idea where you would get lights like the ones inside the mason jar, they look like little string lights, maybe battery powered???

My current plan is to use them as centerpieces, since I haven't finalized the guest list yet BUT I am thinking that there will be 13 tables at a maximum so that would be 39 of each for 3 per table I think, I still have 313 days to figure it out! I don't want to do anything decorationwise for the ceremony because we will be outside and mother nature is in charge of those decorations! (unless it rains and then we will be inside with the centerpieces)

Hey Laura Smiley heart Your ideas really sound amazing!!

I think you should really try them out and maybe mix both styles. It's great to reuse things you already have and will definitely help you save on decorations as well. Smiley smile

How many mason jars and tea cups will you need to use?

Will you use them as centerpieces? Smiley smile

It isn't my idea of course....I saw it at a Bridal Fair/Expo type thing and I really liked it. I might combine the two and get some additional visual interest out of it.Smiley smile And always appreciate someone telling me I am not completely off my rocker Smiley winking

    Hi Laura!

No matter what you choose- it sounds beautiful- but, my heart gave a little cheer at the teacup idea! I've never seen that done before, and I think it is justt great!

....You know, if a stranger's opinion matters... Smiley winking

I am thinking about using them as flower vases as well. I am still in the early early thinking stages but I don't really want a couple dozen vases like my sister in law ended up with. I know my friends and family all have mason jars (or everyone has to eat Classico pasta sauce for the next year) and then I am thinking charcoal wide ribbon with a mix of pink and red flowers to match my planned colours. Happily my best friend and bridesmaid is a florist so she will be invaluable in the execution! Also in the running is old teacups with flowers in them and for this one between my mother and I we have more than enough.

Most likely. I'm a super thrifty aka CHEAP person and it will just be a small, casual wedding.

I'm using mine as flower vases. Going to tie twine and burlap into bow (s) around it and stick the flowers inside.
