I have been planning since we became engaged! The first vendor we hired was the photographer, we found him through a personal referral from a friend. The photographer will also set up a photobooth at our wedding! The next vendor we hired was our venue and caterer. It was no contest to pick the venue we chose, the Hotel Saskatchewan. The beautiful vaulted ceilings, gorgeous chandeliers and big open windows and with new renovations, the ballroom and lounge look much more modern with a hint of history still present. We had a difficult time with choosing our colours and flowers. The flower vendor was the last vendor I met and hired and she is fabulous. She worked with me to get the customized bouquets I wanted and is providing our centerpieces within our budget. The DJ was a personal recommendation as well and he is great, we were able to customize our music list and highlight our preferences. The make up artist is spectacular - she is from Moose Jaw which is a 45 minute drive from Regina; however, her work is amazing and I wouldn't have asked anyone else. Hair dresser will be a personal friend of mine who I have had the opportunity to go to for the last four years her work is nothing short of incredible. When we began to think about transportation I inquired to multiple companies about costs, I was absolutely disgusted. We were looking for a limo company for 3 hours that would just take us out for pictures. $1000 - $1500 were the quotes we were being given. I found a limo company at the last minute who would provide the transportation services to us and offered liquor for us for less than $500, we happily agreed to this!
