0... I planned the wedding while living far away. DIY is not my thing either.

So much stuff, our candy table (also acting as the favors), our centerpieces, wedding party gifts, and 2 other theme-related decor pieces.

Quite a few, with the help of my decorator...all of my centerpieces (18) and all of my favours (200), plus decor for our receiving table and other random decor throughout the venue.

I'm making the centerpieces, making mine and my daughter flower arrangements as a bracelet.
Our reception place has been doing weddings for years and they know what is best. Its beautiful and nothing extreme the way we love it.

Probably none. Maybe one. I’m not a big crafty person so I don’t want to be making a ton personally

Not nearly as many as I had hoped, I found some good clearance decorations. Probably just some of the signs.

I’ll definitely take a look at that website !
For centrepieces I’m looking to do tall vases with flowers, I recently did a trial run with silk flowers from michaels and it turned out pretty good.
Im just torn.. I don’t know if I want to take on that responsibility and task the night before the wedding lol.
Your centrepiece inspiration is beautiful, I’m sure they will turn out great Smiley smile

Thanks, Rebecca, we're very pleased with them!
I'm actually going to be getting silk flowers from Alibaba.com and putting together bouquets, etc. myself and with my girls. I've been collecting odds and ends for my centerpieces for ages. I'm going for something like this but with different sizes and shapes of bottles/jars for each centrepiece.
What ideas did you have for your centrepieces??

I'm DIYing my centerpieces, decorations for the church and some items for the reception. I've ordered exclusively from AliExpress. I'm having a DIY day with my bridal party once all of the items arrive.

Part of the invitations, Save the dates, personalized champagne glasses for the girls and beer glasses for the boys, all the signs, menu cards, spray painted table numbers, the honey favors and the kids activity packs and the cutest little tissue boxes and a box to hold them all.

As many as possible! All flowers will be DIY (centrepieces, bouquets, boutonnieres, etc.), centrepieces, other decorations. My friend created our save-the-dates for us, but I worked on them a lot with her (below). She will also do our invitations and thank-you cards. I had a friend do the engagement shoot for us. I'm pulling in all my favours with all my talents and generous friends on this one and coming up with more ideas of things I can DIY all the time!

Basically the entire wedding is DIY, except the food and cake. I'm hiring my friend's sister and my DJ and a friend from work as my photographer - he's great - buying a lot of stuff at Michaels, Costco, AliExpress and Amazon. We're not really into the whole grand wedding thing, so we just want things that remind us of us and we think are genuinely special.

I’m spray painting wine bottles, and Ombre spray painting cylinder vases with gold! I’m also thinking of trying out some diy backdrops but we’ll see how it goes!

All the DIY!!!! Haha. I'm making my own centrepieces, signs (gift table, entrance, ceremony, table numbers, guest book, etc), we are going to do a living edge furniture piece for our guest book (wood round that will be later made into a table top)...

We may even get some PVC pipe and draping to create our own backdrop for the ceremony.

I am extremely crafty... so the fact that it saves a bunch of money is just a bonus, because I'd be wanting to do it myself anyways.

I actually started my own mini business of making wedding frame signs/mirrors before I was engaged.

We don't really have many. I am not very crafty but we have alot of cleaning to do from pre loved wedding decor and setting up should be a fun task.

I'm trying to be conscious of the budget since we needed it to book our venue and all the details with it, so all decorations that aren't floral will be DIY:

    - Our tables and the bar will all have short vases to hold the bouquets post-ceremony

    - more short vases and candles for the table centrepieces

    - I'm harvesting birch saplings for place-card holders and table decor

    - we're going to DIY the card box once we pick a design

    - the guest book is a varnished piece of odd-cut wood

    - all the stationery is from vistaprint when they throw on a sale

    - a family friend who is a potter is making the favours

    - my mom's a baker and so far, we've been debating making the cake even

I'm sure the list will grow but it's long enough for now! Smiley xd
