Wording for Unplugged Ceremony

Hi everyone, we are getting married in June.

We have decided to have an unplugged ceremony.

I will have a sign placed to let guests know. My question is…..how do you communicate that cells and pictures are ok after the ceremony?

We are only having 40 people so I’m sure word of mouth but…is there a way I should word it on the sign?

    Come as you are to enjoy the ceremony as device use is requested for the latter part of the evening. Your presence is appreciated as our love takes a new chapter.

    I wrote it on a FAQ on the website. We also had our wedding coordinator enforce it. Our officiant was supposed to announce it but our DJ screwed up the mic situation so he was not able to do it before the ceremony started.

    Can we take pictures during the ceremony?

    We ask that you please refrain from taking photos during the ceremony. There will be opportunities to take photos with the bride and groom after the ceremony and you can take as many photos as you like during the reception.

    Definitely have your officiant tell guests. Guests don't care about signs and often don't read them. Ours gave them a photo-op when we got to the top of the aisle. It was a great moment for us to look at all of our guests and embrace the moment. Then they all put their phones away 👌👌. Glad we didn't bother with a sign!

    I also put a little message on our wedding website saying the ceremony is unplugged but please share all your pictures after the ceremony/reception using our hashtag

    I saw a sign on pintrest (can't find it) that said something like please no photos until after we are pronounced Mr. & Mrs.
    We also plan on having our officiant announce the unplugged Ceremony before the ceremony starts
