This is going to sound really stupid probably, but does anyone know how to go about having a ceremony in a wooded area in your town in ontario? For instance, we have a plethora of wooded spots in my town that aren’t private property and also not park land, so who do i contact to inquire, or can we just go into the woods? It’s an elopement.

Okay. I am getting married at Vanderwater Conservation Area just north of Belleville, so I just looked on the County of Quinte website to see what permissions I needed.

Does your site have a name, like mine does? Find out who maintains it and ask them about using their site. If it's not a conservation area or park, you may have to contact the town/city.
