How this everyone decided who their witnesses is going to be ?? i have a hard time deciding and i have to because we are filling up the papers the officient gave us ..

    We both chose our BM (Best Man) to sign as witnesses. They were appointed from the beginning.

    Like another poster suggested, we are going with the best man and matron of honor for the signing. Just was easier that way.

    Typically it's your maid of honour and best man, but it doesn't have to be them. It can be anyone. For us, we chose my husband's brother and my uncle (who's like my brother) and we didn't have a wedding party. Basically our criteria were people that meant a lot to us.

    I mean I’m not sure what the laws in Quebec are but we didn’t give our witness names to our officiant until a few days before the wedding. It can be whoever you want though.

    It's 100% up to you. My dad and my MIL were our witnesses 💜. We told our parents we want it to be them and to pick who from each side.

    It should be your MOH and Best Man who signs the paper as your witnesses
