    Our dads were not at the wedding but our moms both did a speech and it was one of our favourite parts of the wedding!

    Us too! Though I didn't tell me parents they COULDN'T, otherwise they would be mad that they "aren't allowed to do things at their own daughters wedding", I'm just not encouraging it LOL

    My dad has already told me from the get go, I WILL NOT BE MAKING ANY SPEECHES lolllll

    He's always been a shy person so I was not expecting anything less

    OH PHEW thank god I see someone else on here that says they aren't doing any speeches... Smiley xd

    At first, my FH and I were like hmmmmm are we odd that we don't want or have any speeches for the wedding? We were worried our guests would think that the wedding would be weird and awkward

    The reason why we don't plan on having any because neither of us like public speaking so we would never force anyone to public speak about us.

    I'm sure if anyone wants to talk to us, they will just come up to us directly Smiley smile Smiley smile

    Yes- my parents will make a speech , so will his ... we asked them and they would like to so we are allowing them but they are to keep it short and sweet !

    I am not certain if my mom will make a speech as she is more reserved. However, she has been very helpful with our wedding overall.

    Nope- we both agreed that we don't want speeches and toasts at our wedding. FH and I will say a few words to thank our guests for coming, but that will be the only "speech".
