Hi wonderful brides Smiley heart

We all know a nicely put head table doesn't to be 100% traditional... Smiley winking This is how a formal head table looks like:

I like the idea of having the wedding party and family at the rounds close to the sweetheart table. That makes it like they are still at the head of the room but they are still able to sit with their own families. I agree that the traditional head table is a little odd. I am not sure I have every been to a wedding with the traditional head table Smiley surprise

That's a good idea to have a couple extra chairs for people to come and visit! We did a sweetheart table and had a lot of people come up during dinner and they kind of crouched next to the table. Wish we had thought of that!
I think that traditional table is ridiculous! Why would you have the bride's mother sitting next to the groom's father and vice versa? We had a small uneven wedding party so we did a sweetheart table and then two rounds for our wedding party and family on either side of us.

Our head table will only have the wedding party sitting there, as each family members will be seated in the front and have the best view.

Our head table is just us and our bridal party ... we have parents tables... our parents won't be sitting with us as my FH and I both have 5 on each for our wedding party

We are still deciding what we would like to do. A traditional head table for my family has always been the wedding party, bridesmaids and groomsmen. I am reluctant to do this as almost all of our wedding party has an established family that they likely would like to sit with over sitting by themselves with us at the head table. I am leaning more toward a sweetheart table with extra chairs for people to come visit if they want to. I am also not against sitting with our parents. Just so many things to decide!

For ours we'll be sitting beside our parents and have our siblings on the other sides of them!

HAHA I like the title of Chief Bridesmaid Smiley laugh !! Our table could definitely not look like that, FMIL would make that difficult. We are just having a sweetheart table
