Who made your guest list?

Sinéad, on November 4, 2019 at 09:05 Posted in WeddingWire 0 9

Sitting down and setting your guest list can be one of the toughest parts of planning your wedding! Do you invite your third cousin because your mom says it’s polite? Do you invite your colleagues because they hear you talking about your wedding plans every day?

Once you have made your final decisions, who made your guest list?

Tell us who’s in and who’s definitely out this week!

Click through each of the discussions below and tell who’s in and who’s out:

Are you inviting children?

Are you inviting extended family?

Are you inviting your co-workers?

Are you inviting plus ones?

Are you inviting your parents’ friends?

Are you inviting everyone whose wedding you’ve been invited?

Are you inviting friends you haven’t seen recently?

Are you inviting your officiant to your reception?

Are you inviting exes?

Are you inviting everyone who asks?

I agree! If half of the first round says no, why not?

Our venue holds more than we would like to actually invite, but we're keeping it as close and personal as possible for about 100-120 guests.

I did for the both of us. Consideration of husbands friends were taken and then had to be cut out since I hadn't met them at any point. One made it on the list only.

We invited mostly family and close friends to the ceremony, but EVERYBODY will be invited to the party!

We have a larger venue so luckily we didn't struggle with inviting people in terms of our guest count. It would've been a lot harder if we were limited in the amount of people we could invite.

We invited all of our family (both only children) so it wasn't a whole lot of family. Then we invited our friends we see and talk to regularly. I'm not a very social person so it was easy to keep list at 100. At first FH husband thought it was a good idea to invite everyone until I explained how much that would cost. Now he is good with 100 or less.
