Who is having a trousseau tea?

Zoë, on May 7, 2017 at 07:05 Posted in Before the wedding 0 4

Hi everyone!

Who is having a trousseau tea? Smiley love

This old tradition is slowly fading so why not give it a revival! The trousseau tea is a tea party held by the mother of the bride, traditionally neighbours and colleagues, who are not invited to the wedding — are invited to attend. The mother of the bride lays out the bride’s trousseau (the wedding and bridal shower gifts) and it’s a great way to share this special time with those in your extended circle.

I'm a few years late in adding my comments to this one, lol! But I am planning on having a Trousseau Tea! Just trying to figure out how to modernize it a bit... Smiley smile

What gifts do you give at a trousseau tea. I'm old school and a trousseau meant a new day/night wardrobe with some bottom drawer sexy lingerie for the honeymoon and to kick start your new wedded life together.

A tea party is a nice idea, but I'm not sure how I feel about this

I like the idea of having a tea party but I am not the biggest fan of the bridal shower idea. We'll see.
