Who has started writing their vows?

Sinéad, on October 23, 2019 at 09:05 Posted in Wedding ceremony 0 14

Vow down, witches!

Will you and your fiance(e) be writing your own vows?

If so, will you share them with anyone before your wedding for their opinion or will your ceremony be the first time they have been read out loud?

We’re getting married in a church so personal vows aren’t allowed but I already started jotting down ideas for a speech

We're writing our own and I started jotting ideas down a couple months ago. It's crazy early but I'm super Type A and really don't want to have writer's block the week of the wedding lol.

We wrote our own and I bawled and so did everyone else. I just remember seeing his brother in the corner of my eye with a tear rolling down his face!

We didn't write our own vows, but I still bawled like a baby!

We wrote our own, and I'm honestly such a champion for going this route! It made our ceremony so special and personal.

I started jotting things down about 6 months before (just bullet points on the notepad app on my phone).

I only sent them to our officiant, and to my maid of honour to read over beforehand.

I read them out loud to myself and timed them to make sure they weren't too long or too short.

I started mine a few months back. Just a few sentences. But that took me awhile.
    I have until Sept. 2020.

I have 16 days to write them, havnt even started. I have a few ideas but nothing actually on paper. I don't think I will share with anyone before hand. But I do plan on practicing a little.

I have bits and pieces of vows in my mind but nothing I’ve actually written down yet. I’ll start on that soon .

I've started writing mine. My wedding is in June but I am not the best writer so I wanted to start early and fix them if needed.

Our wedding isn't until April but I've started jotting down vow ideas when they hit me. 😊 I've encouraged my FH to do the same so it's easier when the time comes but I'm positive he will leave it to the last minute lol

Not here! We don’t get to choose our vows as we’re getting married in the Catholic Church.

No vows for the two of us! I wanted them, but he didn't because he wanted a quick ceremony... then we agreed on writing notes to each other for the morning of the wedding but then we were so busy that we agreed to skip it all together!

It's all good - we know why we love each other and I was already crying at the altar so it wouldn't have been a good idea Smiley tongue
