Who did a first touch and what was your experience?

Hi brides

My FH and I are debating on the first touch (so not seeing each other, just holding hands and reading our personal vows since we won't be saying them at the altar). Our fear is that the "emotions" won't be as strong during the ceremony. If you did a first touch, what was your experience?

My husband and I did a first look and read personal vows. It allowed us to get all the anxious feelings and nerves out before the ceremony. Our ceremony was filled with an overwhelming amount of happiness and it was perfect! I think doing a first touch would have a similar effect

Not personally but many do a first look/ photos and still have very strong emotions during the ceremony. The first touch may help with your nerves and will also get some beautiful photos.
