Which do you like better - showers or bach parties?

I'm thinking that we might skip the wedding shower and do a honeymoon shower! By the time our wedding rolls around we will have lived together for over a year and already have everything physical. So instead of just blatantly ask for money we will be either having a honeymoon shower or put a little card in the invite or side not that uses a rhyme such as "Our life together has already begun. We have almost everything under the sun. If you should wish to buy us a gift, a little extra money would give us a lift. But most importantly we request, you share our day as our wedding guest!" and maybe have a honeymoon registry that will have things like "pay towards the hotel" or "pay towards swimming with dolphins"!

I'm pretty sure I'm having both. My aunt is throwing me a shower with like family and stuff, and then my bridesmaids are planning a bachelorette - or so I've been told.

I'm kind of impartial to either, but they are all very excited for their respective parties so I'm just going with it.

Showers! I likely won't have a bachelorette party.

I like going to and planning both actually! But I won’t be having a shower just a bachelorette party.

I don't really see the point in showers for people who have been living on their own for a while, especially when they're only for women (after all, both spouses will use the gifts).

So I'm only having a bachelorette, but not the 'traditional' kind. We're going to a board game bar to play and have maybe a drink and food. I'm not one to get drunk, and several of my friends just do not drink at all.

I prefer a shower, although I'm not having either. My wedding party hasn't been the most attentive and didn't bother to plan either. But, if i had a choice, I'd go for a shower. I'm not a big drinker and rarely go out.

Since I live so far away k unfortunately won't be having a shower but if I did it would have also been a high tea theme since I'm English and love high tea lol
But we are planning for my girls to come up next May for my bachelorette party. We live in the Okanagan so we have some of the best wines in the country, so we will have a weekend of relaxing at an awesome airbnb and doing wine tours!!

I would prefer a functional or playful bachelorette, like a spa day or doing a fun activity. I’ve been lucky and have only had to go to and plan 2 bachelorettes, for brides who opted not to have bridal showers.

I'm doing bachelorette. I'm not really the type of person to have tea and chat.

I am not really sure which I prefer since they are so different.

I haven’t had mine yet, but I think I will like my bridal shower more because it’s a high tea hat event!
