All of our family is here in Alberta as well but we said nope we're not getting married in alberta lol if people really want to be at your wedding, they'll be there no matter where it is!

We had ours in the city we live in, at a hotel in Sherwood Park, Alberta (it was necessary to keep it in Alberta as most of my wife's family and my parents live here). Ceremony and reception were held in the same location with photos taken at another location. The restaurant attached to the hotel handled the catering and did a fabulous job. As it was a fall wedding as well we did not want to risk having an outdoor ceremony wrecked by weather.

We are getting married on a Friday, to make it easier for our guests, we are having our ceremony and reception at the same location in Port Credit and will take our pictures outside by the lake

OMG such a beautiful place! Congrats! Ours was going to be outside but with the date we wanted we were skeptical on the weather. As well, at that venue, the outdoor was better than the indoors. So we looked elsewhere and I'm glad we did. The venue will host an indoor ceremony/reception, in Burlington. The outside does not do the inside any justice at all

Beautiful venue and open space.
We got married in the nature too with a different layout of a lower ceremony site to have our main vendors taking pictures and videos without interruptions. It was local for us based on our budget.

Actually no! I told my husband that this was the place I wanted to get married since like forever since Kelowna is where I'm originally from. And he was like ok this is where we're getting married!

Beautiful venue! What beauty to have mountains as your backdrop Did you look at many venues before deciding on this one?

We had ours in the city - it was actually a very city-chic wedding, which was so surprising as I always pictured a farm but I think with time and after attending so many farm style weddings, I totally changed my vision on what I wanted the day to vibe with, crazy how that happens.
