Our wedding took place at Kempenfelt Conference Center with a beautiful ocean view and activities for the families to enjoy. Its been closed since November 2017

Beautiful venue Amanda! We have been to the Okanagan (Penticton/Oliver/Summerland) visiting wineries and my best man (who lives in Summerland) the last 2 years.

We are having our wedding at a hotel in Sherwood Park, just east of Edmonton, as most of her relatives and my parents are close by now. The hotel has a steakhouse attached which is handling the catering so it's a win/win!

We're getting married in Edmonton a few blocks away from where we live in a hotel as my friends/family will have to come in from Ontario. Both the ceremony and reception will be taking place at the same location to eliminate the need for guest transportation between venues.

We are having our wedding in Newfoundland and we're actually having the ceremony at the same place that the reception is going to be held just because I can't justify the extra cost for a second location that's going to be used for 25 to 30 minutes and decorations.

I think it will work I'm not entirely sure at this point but I just have faith..... we're going to have a dedicated team of people to move the chairs that's going to be done for the ceremony & set up the tables for the reception in the time frame that we have between the ceremony and reception.

I think it'll work I just have to have faith it the idea is kind of growing on me I'm really liking the idea that it's at the local legion and we're going to have like those gorgeous white and gold trim this kind of everywhere just because like the legion has like this royal esque type of feel to it - think bridgerton meets legion. Originally we were going to have our ceremony outside probably in the woods but that's not going to work now just because the weather in Newfoundland is so unpredictable I don't want to have to worry about anything that day.

We are having our ceremony at our venue in the adjacent ballroom- its a bit of a tricky place to get to and its a Friday afternoon ceremony -so the less travelling for our guests the better

We had our ceremony at a park that has a river and it was so beautiful!!
Also the park was free to rent!!

We are getting married at our venue in Hamilton, ON in **11 days!!! Finally!** ❤️ June 18, 2022

We were able to secure a good deal back in 2019 prior to covid to have it included with our reception.
My SO is not religious and I am catholic (but divorced) so a church or chapel wasn’t in the cards for us. He also didn’t want to get married outside. So it just made sense. We used to live in Hamilton when we got engaged and started planning- but have sincemoved. So it will be nice to be back to enjoy the day.

Originally we were going to have our ceremony at our venue since it was supposed to be a winter wedding and we didn't want anyone going outside more often than necessary or driving if the weather is bad but when everything got changed to summer (spring technically) we decided saving money was better 🤣.
We are getting married at a little chapel in the honeymoon capital of the world....also our home. (Though SO comes from Toronto originally). The chapel will be decorated for us, another bonus. The only downside is the chapel doesn't have the greatest parking....but there is a school a 3 minute walk away that'll work.
