When did you get engaged? 📅

My husband proposed to be on December 15th at a Christmas market in front of a giant Christmas tree!

He had a hard time getting the courage to pip the question. So on valentines day my mom booked us a table at a restaurants and he was gonna do It then, but he chickened out and put the ring in my gift which he gave me before dinner at home, a pair of cowboy boots :p

December 20th (anniversary)

We got engaged November 2nd . My fiance actually had the ring since February and tried to plan his proposal a few times but a few things got in the way including him losing the ring for several months after he hid it somewhere and couldn't remember where he put it 🤦‍♀️😂

April 17 2019

We got engaged June 12 (week before Father's Day). We were doing pictures for our first pregnancy announcement, wanted them done so we could post them on Father's Day. & He surprised me

October 26, 2017! We were on vacation celebrating our first big vacation together and our 2 year anniversary.

I know 2 people who got engaged on Christmas Day, so I can see why it's a popular day. TBH if my DH waited until Christmas, I probably would've expected it a lot more lol

I don't remember the date, geez I'm a hopeless romantic lol. It was sometime in February I think maybe March. It wasn't on a holiday I know that for sure.

We got engaged May 8th 2018! I personally didn't like the idea of being proposed to around Christmas so I waited until January to tell him my ring size haha

May 9th, 2019. He proposed to me at the same place where we first met three years prior.

December 21, 2018! We actually missed a Christmas get together while getting engaged lol!

We got engaged on our 7th dating anniversary, August 11th, 2018, and we got married on our 8th dating anniversary last year, August 11th, 2019.

October 13th 2018. We planned it together because we both wanted a fall engagement in New York City. Kinda “iconic”. We flew down the weekend after thanksgiving so kinda near a holiday?


Jan-April is usually referred to as bridal Christmas in the bridal retail world because it falls right after all they holidays and then the little boost of valentine’s days.

May 2nd, 2018!!

We were engaged on October 11 in Iceland

We’re getting engaged on March 8th (soooon!!). I know it’s crazy backwards.... we are already wedding planning and even have our venue booked lol. It’s a planned engagement because we have been unofficially engaged pretty much since we met, but want to get engaged officially in Nashville. We are going there in March so waiting until then to make it official and exchange rings. But since we both know the engagement is happening, planning has been underway for quite some time 😂 the actual engagement is basically just a formality at this point lol.

We got engaged on April 15, 2018 which was our 2 year dating anniversary. Though I didn’t mention it to him I was hoping the proposal wouldn’t be during December, specifically Christmas because I knew of the popularity of it.

We got engaged on September 14th 2019.


I apparently mentioned years ago that I didn't want a proposal on a day that was already important like a birthday or holiday and Taylor remembered. I'm glad he didn't wait for the holidays!

December 30th 2017! Ya... I can see why it's a big month for proposals - lots of visiting with family that you would be able to share the news with and celebrate. I chose this date because it was a Saturday and I knew I wanted to propose NOT on Christmas, NOT on New Years Eve/Day, and NOT on our 1 year anniversary on March 5th in Prague.
