Hahaha I'm sure! Lol I went to a wedding where the videographer made a music video or the bride and groom getting into a fight, getting back together and the song they used was I'm not an addict by K's Choice. Which is about drug addiction. I was mortified. Lol It was awful!

I can probably list more but it amazes me as to why these songs are played.

I would have to say Celebrate, by Kool and the Gang. I've heard it so many times!

I think it was just that it was really popular at the time and no one really thought about the lyrics but yeah not getting played at my wedding. Our DJ has a do not play list and I am definitely adding all of these!

Wow, Laura. That is terrible that someone would play that song at someone's wedding. I will be making notes and letting our DJ know not to play those songs.

I agree with all of those and I have also heard "Before he Cheats" Carrie Underwood at a wedding before and it is also awful for a song at the wedding.

I agree with you on Blurred Lines as I truly dislike this song.

On the other end of things, the DJ can play the perfect song but if they don't follow it up properly, that can be an epic fail! At my friend's wedding, they played Don't Stop Believing (which is typically one of the last songs of the night) so we figured that it was the end of their reception and after the song ended, nothing came on. We turned to the bride and groom and were like "Oh was that the last song?" and they were like "no we still have another hour." The DJ comes running back and tried to play it off and was like "you guys were supposed to keep singing when the music stopped!" I guess he didn't time his bathroom break well!
