    Hi Emie,

Thank you so much for your response. It was very helpful to get the approximate number of appies from you.

It is going to be the buffet.

I have so far everything handled just a very few things left.

Since we ary traveling to my country to celebrate the bigger wedding, we are trying to be tight with the budget in Canada.

I think, as a dinner replacement, 6-8 won't be enough.

Hi Inna Smiley heart Welcome to the community!!

I'm so happy you decided to ask your question in here and got input for everyone!! Smiley smile

I just read the message you sent me about your menu, and you have a lot of choices in there! I think your guests will have plenty of options to choose from!! Smiley smile

If you are planning your appetizers to be a dinner replacement, you should plan around 12-15 pieces per person in total. You could also have a look at these discussions for more ideas:

5 types of dinner for your reception

Fall ingredients to add to your wedding menu

How are you going to serve your appetizers? Will it be a buffet or will there be waiters to help you out?

Oh sorry, i misunderstood... I am not serving dinner. Just appetizers. It is hard to count how many bites of each appetizer i need for 50 ppl.

I am starting my reception at 7:30pm, after meal time- so we are assuming people have eaten a dinner.

That being said I am planning 6-8 apps per person, and having a pasta station later in the evening for when we need something to snack on again. I am also putting out a lemon water station in a quieter area with comfy seating so poeple can take a break from the party if they need to.

    Hi Melissa,

Yes, my party is going to look exactly like yours, with no dinner.

    Hi Inna,

    Welcome to the community!

Are you serving dinner after apps? Or will your party be cocktails and appys only (which is how I am doing mine!)- the number of apps per person goes up a little if you aren't serving dinner. You want to make sure your guests are not hungry- especially if they are drinking!
