We haven't had the tasting yet but we are thinking this is what we will go with depending on the actual ingredients. My nephew has a nut and peanut allergy and my brother has a fish allergy so we are having a no nut no fish wedding and we are also trying to be inclusive to the vegetarians and the gluten free folks since we have some of each.

We are right now thinking of going with only the roast beef and the vegetarian entree although at one point we were also considering adding on a chicken option, that gets quite a bit more expensive though so I think this is what we are decided on until tasting and actual ingredients are determined. (and yes it is in a spreadsheetSmiley tongue linked to my guest list to generate costs)

We tried the strawberry pabloba and the carrot cake during our taste testing and I just couldn't decide which one was better and so the banquet hall owner Tammy suggested a dessert bar and it was no extra cost! I said SOLD! That way everyone can choose what they would like as there are a variety of desserts! Plus they will still be able to look forward to our 3 different cupcakes later on in the night !

Wow I love how you have such a wide variety of foods! That will be great and will easily please everyone (or it should anyways)! Also I LOVE salted caramel anything.... I plan on having that as one of my cupcake flavours as we get 3 choices for cupcake flavours!

For our canapes we're doing: cherry tomato & bocconcini skewers, prosciutto & fig pizzette, mini grilled cheese squares, smoked salmon lollipops and meatball spoons.

For dinner, we're doing tomato bisque with grilled cheese squares for the appetizer. The entrees are grilled wild BC salmon with a maple glaze, seasonal vegetables and herb butter roasted nugget potatoes or grilled free range chicken with a mushroom demi-glace, seasonal vegetables and tomato & wild mushroom barley. (I'm getting the salmon and my fiance is getting chicken so we'll get a little of both!) For dessert, there is a lemon semifreddo with pistachio biscotti.

Our cake will have two flavours: salted caramel and cherry chocolate. Then we're doing a late night snack of poutine so our American friends and family can have try some authentic poutine! Smiley winking

We are definitely going to be making sure to make time to eat!
